A young boys day out to see Grandad and Grandads beloved pet 'Harry the Hamster' suddenly sours as a dramatic death and an unexpected revelation occurs.

The film is my directorial debut produced by Blank Page pictures and was an absolute blast to film. I wanted to make Harry The Hamster my first directorial film as I had such a strong vision for it. I wanted to share that warm feeling of nostalgia one finds when stumbling across an old photo or piece of memorabilia from their past. To share that often romantic emotion it provokes especially when a childhood memory is unlocked.

You can find yourself transported to smells, tastes and feelings you had long forgotten. Harry is a funny little story/anecdote in my family that we often tell at occasions and one that I always love to share with friends as it always brings about a smile, so I thought to myself why not do it in a film...?

Being a childhood memory I wanted that inner child to also be unlocked and to tell the story maybe the way my younger self would have told it. This is why we mix it all up and use animation, VFX with live action as it feels much more fun and playful. I hope you enjoy and that it evokes a warm nostalgia in you too.
